A Message from IFTR President, Jean Graham-Jones

Dear IFTR delegates:

I'm pleased to start 2017 with an update on our upcoming conference, which will take place July 10-14 at the University of São Paulo, Brazil.  The São Paulo team has been hard at work organizing what I anticipate will be a wonderful meeting.  To accommodate as many submissions as possible, the deadline for submitting abstracts to the General Panels and New Scholars Forum sessions has been extended slightly.  The new deadline is February 5th.  Please submit your abstracts through the Cambridge site.  The link is provided at our conference page.

On a related note, delegates should be aware that Paul Murphy has recused himself as IFTR's Secretary General, Communications, and the Executive Committee has appointed Christopher Collins as acting Secretary General, Communications.  Chris has worked closely with Paul over the years on, among another projects, the creation and implementation of our current website, and so he has been able to pick up the reins very quickly.  I hope you'll join me in welcoming Chris and thanking Paul for his many efforts in support of our Federation.

I look forward to seeing you all in São Paulo!

May the intervening months be productive and positive for everyone.

Best wishes,

Jean.
