CALL FOR APPLICATIONS for THEATRE JOURNAL CO-EDITOR

Nominations and applications are invited for the position of Co-editor of Theatre Journal.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS for THEATRE JOURNAL CO-EDITOR

Nominations and applications are invited for the position of Co-editor of Theatre Journal. The new Co-editor will appear on the masthead from January 2018 through December 2019, and then will become Editor of the journal, serving from January 2020 through December 2021.

The work, however, will begin in August 2017. The Editor and Co-editor alternate in the preparation of issues for the press and share in the adjudication of manuscripts. The Co-editor also serves as an ex officio member of the ATHE Research and Publications Committee.

Theatre Journal is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal featuring contemporary and historical studies and theoretical inquiries that analyze theatre and performance. Given the range of topics published, there is no restriction on the Co-editor’s own area of expertise. The successful applicant must have support (such as course relief or research/travel assistance) from his or her home institution. Interested candidates are invited to send questions about the position to Joanne Tompkins, Editor, Theatre Journal, at j.tompkins@uq.edu.au .

To apply, please email: 1) a current CV; 2) a cover letter noting qualifications and a vision for the journal; and 3) three letters of recommendation to: Soyica Colbert, ATHE Vice President for Research and Publications, at sdc71@georgetown.edu. Complete applications are due by Dec. 1, 2016.
