Brooklyn College's MA Theater History & Criticism Program is still accepting applications for its Fall 2016 class. Our faculty is committed to nurturing young scholars and practitioners by offering a solid foundation in theater history, theory, and criticism that students can take into various arenas when they graduate. We work closely with students to craft a course of study that is suited to their particular goals. Many of Brooklyn College MA alum have gone on to prestigious Ph.D. programs. Others have established themselves as leading figures in the professional theatre as literary managers, critics, and dramaturgs.

The master's programs in the Brooklyn College Theatre Department are composed of a diverse group of students representing an array of cultural perspectives. Our desire is to create a truly global community of artists and thinkers.

If you are interested in learning more about our program, please contact our Program Head, Margaret Araneo, for more information. She can be reached via email at maraneo@brooklyn.cuny.edu or by phone at 646.645.3447.
