Two Tenure-Track Assistant Professor positions in Performance Studies @ NYU

25 September, 2014

The Department of Performance Studies at NYU Tisch School of the Arts is seeking applications for two tenure track Assistant Professors beginning Fall 2015:

1) Specific research and teaching strengths in queer theory, critical race theory, queer of color critique, and related fields.

2) Field open.

Please apply for one or the other position (not both). If, however, you feel qualified to be considered for bothpositions, please specify this in your cover letter.

The Department of Performance Studies was ranked #1 in the most recent national ranking of Theater and Performance Studies PhD programs. In addition we are currently launching an undergraduate (BA) program. We seek candidates who can contribute meaningfully to both programs in terms of teaching (four courses per year), advising, and curricular development.

PhD in Performance Studies or a related field is required. NYU is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we welcome applications from historically underrepresented minorities.

For more information about the Department, and instructions for submitting applications please visit us at: http://performance.tisch.nyu.edu/page/home.html
